Mika Dyo is an actor, creative, and arts educator, passionate about amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities through theatre and art. With a BA in Theatre Arts from California State University Long Beach, they are currently working as a stitcher in the costume shop of the CSULB Theatre Arts Department and as a drama coach at Long Beach at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. They were recently the lead actor in the Hawaii Tour of San Jose Taiko's Swingposium, telling the story of the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans through swing, taiko, and immersive theatre. You can catch them in the independent film, No No Girl, available on Prime Video and similar platforms. They are continuing to tell the stories of our community with their platform, the Little Tokyo Historical Society, ensuring our Los Angeles Japantown continues to thrive as a cultural hub for generations to come.
